Just completed the Outdoor First Aid course with Lizzy which was excellent. Really well put together, engaging and with lots of practical exercises. It has made me feel a lot more confident about dealing with incidents which may happen when I lead hikes. I would highly recommend this course to anyone regularly doing any outdoor activity.

Recently I undertook the Outdoor First Aid course along with my workplace team, and we are all extremely impressed by the quality of training at Will4Adventure. From the get-go, our course leader Stu was incredibly amiable, engaging, and made all of us participants feel totally at ease - not only with him, but with each other too. His warm personality and buoyancy, and well-directed group exercises, enabled us to relax and absorb the information in a healthily convivial environment - it's clear he is very skilled indeed, an expert facilitator of learning. This is not even mentioning the incredible depth of knowledge that Stu instilled in us. I myself, and have since discovered, multiple other people also, independently commented on how blown away we were by his ability to cram every minute full with valuable content - not a second spared! Though not overwhelming either, as it was all nicely paced out into digestible segments. Stu didn't miss a beat with his presentation, and delivered a wholly absorbing, entertaining session each day for the 2-day course. He had plenty of great jokes, but knew when to be funny, and when to be serious. Moreover, he was accommodating to everybody's needs, and we felt comfortable to ask him all of our questions. We all left feeling shockingly confident in our first aid knowledge, and my manager said it was the best course that the company has experienced. I'd like to thank Stu for his time and expertise, and thank Will at Will4Adventure for providing us with this excellent course! Would highly recommend!

This course is very good. There is a lot of information to take in but a lot of repetition which really helps. I should imagine in an emergency, lots of it will come back, perhaps not in the exact order taught because of panic but good enough to help someone in desperate need.

A very well run Outdoor First Aid course, I recommend it. The instructor Izzy was clear, very well-informed, very good at involving everyone, covered all the ground in a way that was easy to take in and sticks in the mind.

A brilliantly organised course that kept us all engaged. Discussion and questioning was encouraged and the scenarios well-considered. Thoroughly recommended.

A superb course, engaging, relevant and motivating. The outdoor scenario based learning allowed me to work out how this applied to the activities I deliver.

I was renewing my Outdoor First Aid (16 hours) and had Lizzy as my instructor. Lizzy was wonderful, the course was interesting, and I feel a lot more prepared for handling emergency situations in remote locations. I need outdoor first aid as a mountain leader, and canoe and kayak leader, in the Scouts. Below is the praise I sent to Lizzy after the course. The 'Brave Dave' example is one where though the casualty is injured the real issue is exposure. You're hours away from help getting to you and the weather conditions are the biggest risk. On my mountain leader training a different group had to handle a similar incident. This was on my mind, and this course showed how to handle it and I now feel ready and confident to manage it myself. "The course was awesome by the way. It was the perfect level for me, both in terms of material covered, and how it was taught. The Brave Dave example was wonderful, and was really close to every type of outdoor first aid scenario I've heard fellow leaders encounter. I've done outdoor first aid before, but I now feel a lot more confident in being ready to handle situations on the side of a mountain. The mix of scenarios and 'classroom' was perfect too. The theory is lovely, but I know I'll never remember it unless I get to experience putting it into action. The scenarios both kept the course interesting, and made things stick in my head. For example, the last scenario where the casualty had fallen against a wall, there was a lot of blood, the head was rested against the wall, and the casualty wasn't breathing. In a few seconds I had to weigh up 'he may have a neck injury', along with 'he isn't breathing and I have to move him to have any chance to fix that'. In theory the choice is obvious, but decision making 'under fire' isn't easy. I got to struggle with that in a safe space. I did make the right decision, and it is now embedded. In the future it will be easier for me to make similar decisions."

I highly recommended Will4 Adventure Outdoor First Aid Course, I found it very informative and extremely organised. Our First Aid Trainer Lizzy is very professional and experienced. The course itself is well structured. I learnt so much and also in a fun way. I can definitely say I feel confident in providing first aid. On top of that, I can say that the booking process was very straightforward and the email communications have been just right. Thank you!

The whole experience was fascinating. Will's demonstrations and scenario design practices have been very delicate and effective, with all details and procedures perfectly woven in. To be a good first aid, I still nee more practice. But with Will's training, I am better prepared and more confident now. Thank you, Will! See you on the way of helping people in need!
